Misadventures in Owning a Weblog

So I thought I would mess around with the default style a little bit seeing as how it’s about as bland as weetbix (god, I hate that stuff). Unfortunately, being a writer and all I have design and artistic talent akin to that of a vegetable.

After mucking about for half an hour this is what I have come up with

Steamy Devaluation

Yes, it’s that time of year again. The time that comes around every half an orbit of the sun in which PC gamers the world over rejoice and also lose a significant amount of money. A Steam Sale.  Two weeks of extreme value for many games of all varieties so good they make the mouth water.

Filler

You know, this whole “writing stuff on a regular basis” thing is harder than I thought it would be. Even though I picked something that I generally enjoy and am fairly knowledgable about, it doesn’t seem to come terrribly easily. It feels a lot like work to be totally honest (christ, I’m lazy).

So there’s that. Really, I’m just writing this post so I can get something out. Hopefully, I’ll be able to pull my head out of my arse soon and actually get some content done but for now this it what you get.

Mass Effect 2 Rant

So to get the ball rolling I’m going to post a random rant I made about Mass Effect 2 a while back on a forum. It’s long, it’s rambling, there isn’t much structure to it and it’s probably also wrong in about a million different ways. But, it’s something and I feel like I want to get it off my chest so here we go.

Oh yeah, a quick warning: this post contain significant SPOILERS for both the first and second Mass Effect games so if you haven’t played them, go and do that, they’re pretty fun. It will also contain a lot of bitching about inconsitencies and plotholes and if you are offended by people insulting Bioware you might want to give this one a miss. Or, you know, get over it.

First Post

Welcome, internet, to my humble abode. Or, you know, my blog, such as it is. I don’t actually expect anyone will end up reading anything I post up here and really this place exists only so I feel slightly more compelled to write stuff. Don’t know how well it’ll work in that respect, but it’s worth a shot. Hell, it might actually attract some readers and make me internet famous! A rather dubious distinction perhaps but it’s better than nothing.

So yeah, that’s my first post. Just over one hundred words and also incredibly boring. I can’t see how this could go wrong.
